A major defence organisation approached Velocity IT and K2 for a digital online forms solution steered by K2 blackpearl workflow. This solution was to replace their current employee suggestion system, which was paper based. The objective of the project was to turn the system into one that could be accessed by all members of the armed forces via the Internet. And, they wanted everything complete within an ambitious 90-day time frame.

Acceptance criteria was set an extremely high level, as is to be expected when supplying products and services for the military. Therefore, only a forms solution offering exceptional performance, security and stability was to be accepted.
Our team of business process management consultants immediately went to work by examining business requirements. To do this we set up numerous workshops with the client. We used this analysis to quickly make a model for the digital online forms solution. The strategy for the model was to ensure the criteria for key project acceptance was met, whilst incorporating the K2 blackpearl out-of-the-box features. We presented the model to the client and made a couple of quick reworks before moving onto the delivery phase.
