Velocity IT started K2 blackpearl process and SmartForms development for the underwriting and policy lifecycle management application for a major insurance company.  The basis for the requirement is the outputs from the discovery and solution modelling workshops that was held earlier.

The project kick-off is an exciting milestone for replacing the legacy system and providing a modernised K2 based system that aims to transform how the company process new business.

The robust outputs that were gathered by the discovery and model workshops provide an ideal basis for the K2 solution implementation.  The process maps and user interface models are used by both the users and K2 blackpearl developers for change and development specifications respectively.  The dynamic screen mock-ups helps both parties envisage the system before it is implemented.

Velocity IT uses an agile implementation methodology and the system implementation was carved into several sprints, each with a milestone date.  The sprints are designed to deliver K2 system functionality to the customer at the most effective stage of the K2 project based on the availability of the busy users.  This is key to ensure acceptance testing is aligned with the output of each sprint.

2. K2 SmartForms for Case Management user interface implementation
3. Visual Studio 2013 for business services and SmartObect implementation
4. SQL Server 2012 R2 for data storage
